How to Play Weekday Windfall
Before getting involved in the Weekday Windfall game, let's make sure you understand the rules of playing! Follow the steps below and get one step closer to the chance of winning up to $1 million.
Tickets can be purchased from newsagents and convenience stores across Australia. In Western Australia, you will find this game advertised as Millionaire Medley.
Select Your Draw Date
Weekday Windfall takes place three times per week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Pick the draw you want to enter or choose all of them if you want three chances to win.
Choose Your Entry Type
You need to purchase your Weekday Windfall tickets before 7:30pm AEST on the day of the draw. The only exception is Western Australia, where the cut-off time is 6:00pm AWST. Depending on how you want to play, there are different entry types:
Marked Entry
This is the standard marked entry. If you already know the numbers you're going to play with, you just need to select the six numbers on the playslip. The chosen numbers must be between 1 and 45. You can enter up to 18 games on a single coupon when playing in-store.
Quick Pick/Slikpik
If you don't know which numbers to choose, you have the option to select QuickPick. Picking this type of entry means that your numbers will be randomly generated by the lottery terminal. In Western Australia, this is known as a Slikpik.
System Entry
You can increase your chances of winning by choosing more than the required six numbers. Select between seven and 20 numbers, then mark the system entry on your playslip. Every combination of six numbers which includes your chosen set will be entered.
Pick Entry
With this type of entry, you only need to choose four (Pick 4) or five (Pick 5) numbers. This basically guarantees that you will always match one or two numbers as every number that wasn't picked will be played alongside the ones you already chose.
Advance Entry
You can enter your favourite draw day up to 10 weeks in advance.
Multi-Week Entry
If you don't have a preferred day you want to enter, this type of entry allows you to play up to 10 consecutive Weekday Windfall draws.
Syndicates
By joining a lottery syndicate you team up with a group of players and purchase tickets. Any winnings will be shared, and the biggest advantage is that the cost of playing will be split among the players. You can either join an already-existing syndicate in-store or create one with your colleagues, friends or family. Check out the Lottery Syndicates page to learn more about how they work.
Select Your Numbers
You need to pick six numbers from 1 to 45. Two supplementary numbers will also be drawn out of the remaining 39 balls. These supplementary numbers usually count in some prize divisions. Visit the Dividends and Odds page to see which categories include the supplementaries.
Pay For Your Tickets
Now it's time to take your playslip to the lottery retailer and pay for your entries. The price varies, depending on the type of entry. For the standard marked entry, you need to pay $2.70 for four games.
